  1. i like the dynamics of the shape and the curves. you could explore more ways to make the layers of the lamp to be more diverse, perhaps different shapes to encapsulate the lamp

  2. I think the design of this lamp is very interesting and the idea of having different layers in the light give it a very dynamic and distinct feel. I think that the shape that the material forms could be experimented more or even with more strips but in thinner widths. Overall a great job!

  3. I really like the seeming simplicity of this lampshades construction and the way it creates a complex and compelling result when illuminated. Perhaps the design could have been made slightly more interesting by the inclusion of more layers or thinner strips? None-the-less, a fabulous lampshade!

  4. Ghina, your efforts on this assignment are outstanding. You really nailed your lamp! i love it! i love how your form and strips are really simple, however achieve a cage-like effect in lamp form. i like how this could be almost like a feature cover to hanging over your light bulb for a subtle feature in the home. your execution was great! all your cutting diagram, photos, instruction sheet, fantastic work! congratulations Ghina! xxx

  5. ps. in terms of improvements, it would be exciting to see if you could in actual fact, achieve this on a larger scale. maybe double layering the prope so that it help shape? xxxx
